What properties are available?
We have an assortment of properties available for Rent To Own opportunities. Our properties are mainly located in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Virgina. The properties can range from a luxury high-rise condo to a quaint single family home across the street from a park. New properties are continually being added and are filled on a first come, first served basis. Please check back routinely. What qualifications do I need?
At North Portal, we understand that bad things happen to good people. That's why we offer individuals with little or imperfect credit the opportunity to purchase property. Generally, the terms are 3% - 5% down of the purchase price and a lease period of one year. So, you will need money for the down payment, fair to excellent rental history, proof of income for a period of two years, two forms of identification (one must have a picture), and a valid social security id.
How long can I rent till I buy the property?
You get to lock in the purchase price of the property for a period of 12 months. At the end, of the lease period, you have the option to buy the home or renew your lease agreement. If you wish to purchase the property, prior to the conclusion of your lease period, please contact the Property Consultant assigned to you at the initiation of your lease agreement.
How can North Portal Improve My Credit?
At the conclusion of your lease period, whether or not you decide to purchase the property, if you are in good standing with us, we will place a favorable entry on your credit report which conveys that you have meet your financial obligations to us for a period of one year.
